The Latest News from Brent Lodge
I would like to take this time to update you on the latest news here at Brent Lodge. Firstly my name is Robert Knight and I am the new General Manager for the Charity. I look forward to meeting you all at our shops and events as we work towards helping this amazing Charity.
The building work is well underway at the site and we hope to be in our new feed store very soon. This has only been made possible by the amazing support that you all have given us, so from the very bottom of my heart I thank you on behalf of the Charity.
Our latest newsletter is out, grab a copy and keep update to with the latest animal stories and Brent Lodge news.
Also our open weekend is on the 28th and 29th of May. I am delighted to be taking part and looking forward to it greatly as I know I will get to meet many of you on those days.
Finally, over the next week weeks and months I will keep you updated through website updates and will be excited to run our new feature. “Meet the Staff”. This will be a new feature for Brent Lodge where we will get to go behind the scenes and found out about the volunteers and the staff at the Charity and introduce you to the work they do in more detail.
If you wish to know more or wish to donated to us, please do email in and we will be more than happy to help.
Andrew Fry is an amazing young man. At just 14 he has decided to undertake an amazing challenge that many older than him would consider demanding, all to raise funds for the animals we care for.
Between the 10th and 16th of July 2016 he will be undertaking a sponsored cycle ride from Hayling Island in Hampshire, UK, to Le Mans in France and back, totalling a distance of 350 miles.
If you would like to give Andrew some support and encouragement you can find his donation page below.
If you would also like to help the sick, injured and orphaned animals we care for please do get in touch.
Would you like to volunteer your services as an animal ambulance for your area?
As and when we need someone to transport a sick or injured animal to Brent Lodge, we will query our database of registered drivers and contact the nearest available volunteer to the patient. There is no commitment! We gratefully accept your offer to help if you are available at the time of asking. If you’re not available when called upon, that’s absolutely fine – we will try to contact another driver. It’s important to get as many volunteer drivers into our database as possible, so if you have family, friends, or neighbours who may be willing to help out, please do point them in the direction of this page!
