The UK is one of the world's most nature-depleted countries with wildlife suffering human impacts from intensive agriculture, habitat loss, pollution and climate change.

Our wildlife Hospital admits injured, sick, or orphaned patients direct from the public, from the RSPCA, or from local vets who have pre-assessed patients as needing wildlife care, recuperation and rehabilitation facilities. Most frequent reasons for admission include pet attacks, natural predation, habitat loss or nest disturbance as well as road traffic collisions.

 

Our animal care staff and volunteers undertake our important work with care, compassion and commitment to patient welfare with the aim of responsibly releasing patients back to the wild once they are fit and healthy. In addition we answer thousands of phone calls annually from the public to give advice on wildlife welfare.

 

We receive no government funding and depend entirely on the generosity of our supporters, donors, fund-raising activities, partnership with businesses, and grant applications.​​​

We are pleased to inform you that the successful incorporation between our existing Charity Trust (Brent Lodge Bird & Wildlife Trust 276179) and our new charity is now complete and will now allow us to continue under a new modern framework CIO (Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital 1199715).
